Jatnna Ramirez

Director of Programs
Jatnna Ramirez is an experienced educator and leader, skilled in partnership building, program design and positive youth development. Jatnna has dedicated her career to supporting youth, and to building resilient and sustainable communities. Jatnna cares deeply about equity and justice and believes in the power of storytelling to bring joy and transform lives. 

Prior to joining Behind the Book, Jatnna was the Director of Programs at Queens Botanical Gardens, where she oversaw the Garden’s environmental and cultural programs. Jatnna also served as a Senior Director at Global Kids, leading strategic partnerships and best practices for human rights and global education. Jatnna holds a BA in political science from The City College of New York School of Civic and Global Leadership and a MA in Public Management & Policy from Baruch's School of Public and International Affairs.
