Join us on Thursday, March 12th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at KGB Bar, when Behind the Book hosts another evening of free readings by exceptional writers: Deb Olin Unferth and Paul Harding.

WHO:

Deb Olin Unferth  - Deb Olin Unferth’s fiction has appeared in Harper’s, NOON, and The Denver Quarterly among others. She received the Pushcart Prize and a fellowship with the Illinois Arts Council. Her first book, Minor Robberies, a collection of stories, and first novel, Vacation were published by Mc Sweeny’sMs. Unferth currently lives in Lawrence, Kansas where she teaches creative writing at the University of Kansas. She is also a frequent contributor to NOON and founder/editor of Parakeet.

Paul Harding - Paul Harding holds an MFA from the Iowa Writer’s Workshop. He was 2000-2001 Fiction Fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center and has published his work in the Harvard Review and Shakepainter. His debut novel, Tinkers published by Bellevue Literary Press, has been acclaimed by The New Yorker, San Francisco Chronicle, and Publishers Weekly. Mr. Harding resides in Georgetown, Massachusetts with his wife and two sons. He also teaches creative writing at Harvard.

MORE:

Behind the Book is a literacy nonprofit working with low-income students in NYC public schools. Our mission is to excite children and young adults about reading. Working in the 1st-12th grades, we bring authors and their books into individual classrooms to build literacy skills and nurture a new generation of book readers.
